Born on June 10, 1942, in Ft. Oglethorpe, Catoosa County, Georgia, Wenzola was the youngest daughter of MST William "Paul" and Mildred "Evelyn" Gray Edmundson. She was the cherished baby sister to Ronald Leon and Rita Gail. Throughout her childhood, Wenzola lived in many places around the world, reflecting her family's military service.
